Never assume anything

Tim Töllner

Our Assumes related to clinical patterns and whose presentation are influenced through the constitution of the patient, the age of the patient, „norms“, which the therapist has learned, clinical patterns, the work eperience of the therapist and many many more factors.

These factors are not very instincted if you are a beginner and have to evolve. If the work experience rises also these factors will rise and will influence the work and the assumes related to clinical patterns.

That procedure is a part of the clinical reasoning just as the selfreflection of the therapist. For example the therapist has to ask itself if he is open minded for the result of a clinical test or is the result primary influenced by his assumes.

Don´t believe what you assume – Believe what you find
