Kurs metody Maitlanda organizowany przez BART PT, a
prowadzony przez instruktora IMTA Thomasa Horre jest
bardzo profesjonalnym kursem terapii manualnej. Na
zajęciach teoretycznych i praktycznych można udoskonalić
swoją wiedzę na temat dokładnego badania pacjenta,
prawidłowego wnioskowania klinicznego, jak również
terapii prowadzonej w oparciu o główny problem pacjenta.
Kurs, który ukończyłam, prowadzony był przez
sympatycznego Thomasa i jego asystentkę Marion, w bardzo
interesujący, ciekawy, a czasem wesoły sposób, przez co
każdy słuchał bardzo uważnie ich wykładów, pomimo czasem
zmęczenia pod koniec dnia. Niesamowita wiedza, którą
posiada Thomas, pozwoliła każdemu uczestnikowi zaspokoić
swoją żądzę wiedzy i znaleźć odpowiedź na najbardziej
nurtujące pytania dotyczące terapii z pacjentem. Nie
mogę też zapomnieć o organizatorach, Zbyszku i Bartku,
którzy nie tylko zapewnili nam, uczestnikom bardzo dobre
warunki do pracy, ale także bezbłędnie tłumaczyli,
często bardzo specjalistyczne słowa Thomasa i Marion,
dzięki czemu nawet osoby nie znające języka angielskiego
nie straciły żadnej , ważnej myśli instruktora.
Uważam, że kurs jest godny polecenia dla każdego
rehabilitanta i lekarza, który chce wnikliwiej poznać
przyczynę dysfunkcji pacjenta, a także lepiej ją leczyć.

"Nun sind wir alle nach den 4 Wochen Pauken und Bewegung
anbieten schon halbe Maitlander. Obwohl wir mit 13
Physios eine kleine Gruppe waren, wurde es nie
langweilig. Sowohl Thomas mit seinen spannenden
Geschichten über Maitland Erfahrung in der Praxis als
auch unsere eigenen Erfahrungsberichte gestalteten den
Unterricht praxisnah und interessant. Die Kursatmosphäre
war relaxt und locker, so dass alle auch an den
Freizeitaktivitäten am letzten Abend (Klettern, Essen
gehen etc.......) teilnahmen.

der kurs in bad neuenahr war super interessant und wir
haben in entspannter atmosphäre viel gelernt.
thomas und uwe sind ein klasse team, die die inhalte gut
strukturiert vermitteln können.
obwohl vier wochen eine lange zeit sind, kam es uns gar
nicht so lange vor.
die techniken können wir sofort in der therapie anwenden
- mit häufig schnellen erfolgen :-)

„Wir hatten eine tolle Einstiegswoche mit dem neuen
Kursskript und den sehr schönen Fotos!“
Die Arbeistunterlage ist gut strukturiert, mit vielen
bunten Illustrationen ausgestattet und bietet relativ
viel platz für eigene Anmerkungen. Die Papierqualität
ist extrem angenehm im Handling und vermittelt
Buchkarakter.

"Die 4 Wochen Level 1 bei Thomas haben uns in vielerlei
Weise vorangebracht. Nachdem wir uns in Woche 1 in die
Grundprinzipien des Maitland-Konzeptes eingearbeitet
hatten, konnten wir dieses Prinzip direkt in unseren
Praxisalltag integrieren. Kein starres Regelwerk steht
im Vordergrund, sondern die individuelle Anpassung der
Behandlung an die Bedürfnisse des Patienten.
Im Verlauf der nächsten Kurswochen wurden nicht nur
unsere Fähigkeiten bei der Anwendung von PAIVM`s mit
Grad IV++++ verfeinert, Thomas bescherte uns auch eine
Menge Huddelei midn Nischel (sächsisch für Kopfschmerzen)
bei der Differenzierung von DIP`s, PIP`s, SIPS
u.ähnlichem Gemoschl.
Der Abbau des intracraniellen Drucks erfolgte
allabendlich ab 18:00 durch Karate (einer der Teilnehmer
war ein hochrangiger Karatemeister) u. Rotwein...
Danke Thomas, wir hoffen, wir sehen uns im Level 2a in
Dresden wieder."

Maitland’s concept took me back to my school age, where
many times I realized after a laborious searching that
the solution of a nasty mathematical exercise was so
simple that I could never have thought. This course has
offered me a simple methodology to follow, in order to
confront the complexity of the human body system.
While finishing the first level I must admit that I feel
more confident as a therapist to help my patients
receive an optimum result. Many thanks to our professor
Rolf Walter who not only has he a genius for physical
therapy and management but he has a great
communicability of knowledge as well.
Maitland’s concept is a marvellous spur for seeking
knowledge.

Hello from Athens !!
My name is Stavros Toilos and I am a Greek
Physiotherapist. As a member of the first course of
Maitland’s Concept, which took place in Greece, I’d like
to express my great satisfaction after this unique
experience.
During the last 15 years I have followed a number of
therapy concepts - especially manual therapy ones- in
UK, USA, Germany and Greece. I can ensure you that this
specific course affected to my professional life to the
most beneficial way ever. The reason is that through the
4 weeks of the first level of Maitland’s Concept I
discover that Real Manipulative Physiotherapy has to
include Mental skills, Planning, Clinical examination,
clinical reasoning, effective manual techniques and
continuous re-assessment. But the most important message
I got from this“ beautiful adventure of knowledge” is
that Maitland’s Approach is a 100% Physiotherapy
Concept, which makes open minded Physios and increase
their confidence and capacity to play an important role
to therapy of patients.
In conclusion I’d like to mention how grateful I am to
Rolf Walter who is a really great teacher!! I had many
teachers in the past and I am grateful to all of them
for the knowledge they gave me. But Rolf is really one
of my best teachers I have ever had. He is an
intelligent person, he loves teaching, he has passion
with manipulative Physiotherapy and he is deeply
interesting for his students. We all had a great time of
learning with him!
I am also thankful to George Karabalis who organized the
first Maitland’s course in Greece. I am looking forward
to attend the next levels of Maitland’s Concept! |

Finalmente ya somos la primera promoción de
fisioterapeutas que han completado el nivel 2A del
Concepto Maitland en nuestro país. Después de mucho
estudio y preparación hemos superado el examen
teórico-práctico que nos permite seguir avanzando en la
formación . Hemos disfrutado de las clases de Pieter,
Renate y Renée revisando y ampliando los conocimientos
del nivel 1, a la vez que hemos profundizando en cuadros
clínicos de gran utilidad terapéutica. Gracias a una
excelente organización del curso hemos trabajado en un
entorno y unas instalaciones inmejorables en Forinfis
(Valencia). La aventura contínua, nos vemos en el 2B!

Finally, we are the first promotion of physiotherapists
in our country that have completed the 2A level of the
Maitand Concept. After a lot of studying and
preparation, we have exceeded the theory and practical
exam which allows us to continue our training.
We have benefited from Pieter, Renate and Renée’s
classes revising and expanding our level 1 knowledge, as
well as studied more in depth clinical cases of great
therapeutic usefulness.
Thanks to an excellent organization of the course, we
have worked in a great environment and magnificent
facilities at Forinfis (Valencia). The adventure
continues. See you in 2B!!

Kursatmosphäre war super!
In dem Level 2a Kurs wurde unter
anderem die Anwendung des Konzepts u.
die individuelle Befunderhebung
durch die Patientenbehandlungen unter Supervision
nochmals vertieft. Das hilft uns im Praxisalltag
schneller das Problem unserer Patienten zu lokalisieren,
effektiver zu behandeln u. so schneller das Therapieziel
zu erreichen.

My name is Bo Seiersen and I am very happy for being a
participant of this second week of level 1 course. I
have improved my clinical reasoning and I have learned
many useful new techniques.
During the course we worked very hard and concentrated
for several hours, every day. I find that the mix of a
theoretical part and the practical work is a good way of
learning.
I have enjoyed the course very much especially because
we laugh a lot and also because our teacher Renate is
the best.
I definitely do recommend this course, also if you have
been practising physiotherapy, as I have, for several
years.

Das Maitland - Konzept hat uns gezeigt, dass
breitgefächertes Denken und Behandeln die Effektivität
in der Behandlung steigern kann. Auch Erfolge sind für

Über das fachliche Wissen hinaus, hat uns der Kurs mit

W terapi Manualnej MaitlandR urzekła mnie jej
funkcjonalość. Pozwala rozwiązywać wiele problemów moich
pacjentów, którym do tej pory nie byłem wstanie pomóc.
Co ciekawe, zwłaszcza u pacjentów z problemami
neurologicznymi koncepcja ściany cegieł i praca po jej "prawej"
stronie doskonale się sprawdza.

Tras algunos años de espera, por fin hemos tenido la
oportunidad de disfrutar de esta primera semana del
nivel 1 de la formación en el Concepto Maitland en
Barcelona. Excelente organización para este encuentro.
Renate Wiesner ha demostrado su prestigio y su buen
hacer mediante una exposición ordenada y tranquila de
los muchos contenidos que incluye este abordaje. Su
labor y su actitud nos recuerda que todo lo que
aprendemos nos puede ser útil en el futuro. El concepto
se basa en el razonamiento clínico como elemento
prioritario ante una multitud de pruebas de evaluación y
técnicas de tratamiento.
Todos los que hemos asistido a este primer contacto real
con el Concepto Maitland agradecemos las nuevas
perspectivas en el desarrollo de nuestra profesión que
nos ofrece el "espíritu Maitland". La actitud adecuada
es mantener una mente abierta, dejarnos sorprender por
cada uno de nuestros pacientes y renovarnos para llegar

Dieser Maitland-kurs ist echt super, endlich lernen wir
genauer zu befunden, Problemstellen sicher
herauszufinden und effizient zu behandeln.
Beeindruckend ist v.a die sehr gute praktische Übung, so
dass wir nach dem kurs fähig sind die Techniken sicher
anzuwenden.
Trotzdem kommt der Spass nie zu kurz, in dem z.B
theoretische Inhalte sehr lebensnah mit Anekdoten aus
dem „Leben des van Minnen“ dargestellt werden. Danke
für die mentalen Ausflüge in die italienische Weinberge
und die spezielle Kunst des Messerschleifens! Wir freuen
uns auf weitere Kurse im Maitland konzept.

mi chiamo Cristiana Cadonna e sono la presidente del
Ma.it.group, un’associazione di fisioterapisti legati al
concetto Maitland che promuove la terapia manuale in
Italia. In questa foto mi vedete in compagnia di un
collega durante la prima settimana del 3° livello, corso
svoltosi a Roma a gennaio di quest’anno.
Dall’espressione delle nostre facce potete immaginare il
clima che abbiamo vissuto. É stata un’esperienza ricca e
stimolante, abbiamo appreso e ci siamo divertiti. Da
presidente del Ma.it.group ma soprattutto da
fisioterapista sono contenta ed orgogliosa di aver
partecipato a questo evento che è stato organizzato per
la prima volta in Italia.

die sich mit dem Maitland-Konzept befasst und manuelle
Terapie in Italien foerdert. Auf diesem Foto koennt ihr
mich mit einem Kollegen sehen, waehrend der ersten Woche
des Level 3, welcher in Rom im Januar dieses Jahres
stattgefunden hat. Von unseren Gesichtsausdruecken
koennt ihr leicht erkennen, welches Klima wir dort
erlebt haben. Es war eine anregende und reichhaltige
Erfahrung, wir haben dazugelernt und Spass gehabt. Als
Praesidentin der Ma.it.group, aber vor allem als
Physiotherapeutin bin ich froh und stolz bei diesem
Ereigniss, das erstmals in Italien stattgefunden hat,
dabeigewesen zu sein.

gekommen und das Arbeiten wird dadurch interessanter und

This is the first step of my dream, it's a dream because
in the middle east we don't have chances to attend
courses in physiotherapy and to have a Maitland course
by an experienced teacher like Renate , who was
excellent in teaching, it's a dream for me. I feel more
confident for clinical reasoning which will give me more
thinking and help me to understand assessment and
reassessment processes of my patients. It is really an
open concept that gives me the understanding of how I
can help my patients with a proper way of thinking and

I am very glad I attended this course. The
Maitland-Concept gives me the opportunity to analyze
my thinking. It is like working with a mind map. I
really liked the movement diagram. Nobody has ever
told us before how to make it and how to use it in
the decision for the treatment.
I am looking forward to the rest and I will
recommend this course to all the therapists!
